In early February, I had the chance to share the gospel with Omar. While he comes from a neighboring Muslim country, Omar had never read the Quran because it is in Arabic. He was very intrigued to hear the gospel for the first time, and when I got to the part where Jesus predicted His death, Omar quickly interrupted to ask, “Why?” It was so exciting to be used by God to share the reason why Jesus died for us! Afterward, I helped Omar download the Bible in his native language onto his phone, and he said that he would read it.
A week later, some teammates and I also shared the gospel with Raj – a young student from a Buddhist country. As a Buddhist, Raj sought to eliminate desire and thus rid oneself of all joy and pain. As we told him of the hope in Jesus which brings ultimate joy, it seemed to strike a chord in him.
Our prayer is to see both Raj and Omar freed from the chains of the enemy’s lies. Please pray that we will be able to meet with them again and that they would find salvation in Jesus.
